2. K. Dudley의 변화의 기본이론
“가치의 변화(value)” “관심의 변화(interests)” “상황(환경)의 변화(contexts)”라는 `변화의 기본이론을 기독교적 의식개발에 적용해 보았다.
1) 가치의 변화
설교와 그룹 성경공부와 봉사에 대한 기독교 전통과 세계문화적 연구를 통해서 얻은 이론을 가르침으로 전통문화의 장단점을 깨닫게 하고 개인주의와 무속종교의 약점을 가르쳐서 기독교적인 가치를 확신하게 함으로 기존의 가치에 대한 변화를 일으켜 나간다(value).
2) 관심의 변화
기독교적인 가치를 확신하지만 실천하지 못하는 것은 그 일이 힘들기 때문이다. 그리스도의 사랑에 대한 구원의 기쁨이 동기가 되어야 한다. 그래서 영성훈련을 강화하고, 일하면서 기쁨과 보람을 얻도록 봉사 그룹 안에서 친교와 보상을 강화해 준다. 궁극적으로 신앙에 큰 도움이 되도록 흥미있는 프로그램을 진행한다(interests).
3) 상황의 변화
사랑의 가치도 알고, 일에 대한 보람도 느껴봤으나 지속적으로 실행하지 못하는 사람들이 많다. 이런 사람들에게는 그 공통체의 구조와 조직을 바꾸어 주고 전체의 분위기를 바꾸어…(생략)
