TOEIC- Test Of English for International Communication

TOEIC 시험은 일상생활 및 비즈니스 현장에서 필요로 하는 내용을 평가하기 위해 개발되었다. 테스트의 문항들은 전세계 여러 나라에서 자주 이용되는 어휘들과 다양한 말들을 샘플로 해서 개발된다. 시험에 나오는 언어는 전세계 일상생활이나 비즈니스 현장에서 자주 사용되는 말들이다. 문제에는 일상생활, 비즈니스, 제조 분야, 인사(personnel), 여행 등과 같이 각기 다른 환경과 상황이 모두 포함돼 있다. TOEIC 시험에 출제되는 어휘나 내용은 영어가 모국어가 아닌 사람들이 영어를 사용하는 모든 상황에서 적합하게 활용될 수 있다. 또한 모든 응시자에 대해 타당한 시험이 될 수 있도록 다음과 같은 기준을 적용하고 있다.
